F A Q

HAVE QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS.

  • What is Window Tint?

Window tint or film is a thin, multi-layered polyester material that incorporates many different layers to control different properties, including Ultra-Violet (UV) light, heat, glare, and privacy. Window film comes in a variety of performance levels and shades.

  • What are the benefits of window tint?

The many benefits of window tint include eye comfort, UV protection (blocking those harmful UV rays), aesthetics, and increased safety, privacy, and energy savings.

  • What do the different window tint percentages mean?

Film percentages stand for light transmission, or the amount of light that is allowed through the film. The lower the percentage, the darker the film.

  • How long will it take to tint my vehicle's windows?

An average installation time is between 1-2 hours. Time factors include: what type of vehicle, how many windows, the number of installers, and if there are unseen scenarios that come up (e.g. a rear deck lid that needs to come out or old tint that needs to first be removed, etc.).

  • How long do I need to keep my windows rolled up after tint is installed?

After installation, the tinted windows need to remain up for 3-4 days (summer) or 4-6 days (winter) to allow the glue to cure and bond to your glass.

  • Can I wash my car after my window tint installation?

All tint goes on the inside of the glass, so feel free to wash your car at any time. You will just need to resist rolling down your windows for 3-4 days (summer) or 4-6 days (winter) to allow the glue to cure and bond to your glass.

  • How should I clean my window tint?

After about 7 days, you can use an ammonia-free automotive glass cleaner or a soap and water mixture with a soft microfiber cloth. Never scrape the film with any type of blade or clean with anything abrasive as this will scratch the film.

  • Which tint matches my vehicle's factory installed tint?

It may vary but most vehicle manufacturers use 15% as their factory film. We can check this and offer any suggestions for your specific vehicle.

  • Why do I see bubbles (right after installation)?

Moisture used in installation can remain between the film and the window for up to 2 to 3 weeks. Moisture or condensation shows up in the form of haziness and water bubbles or pockets. They will clear up as the moisture naturally evaporates through the film. Never try to push around the water bubbles or pockets as it may cause areas that will not evaporate naturally. When the water evaporates completely, your windows should have excellent clarity.

  • What is Tail Light Tinting?

Tail Light Tinting darkens your vehicle’s rear lights by applying translucent tint film. It is durable and gives a sleek and seamless finish.

  • What is Headlight Restoration?

Headlight restoration refers to the process of improving the condition and appearance of a vehicle's headlights. Over time, headlights can become cloudy, hazy, or yellowed due to exposure to sunlight, UV rays, environmental factors, and general wear and tear. Headlight restoration can significantly improve the performance and appearance of the headlights. It can enhance visibility at night by allowing more light to pass through the lens, leading to safer driving conditions. Additionally, restoring the headlights can enhance the overall aesthetics of the vehicle by giving it a cleaner and well-maintained look.

  • What is Chrome Delete?

Chrome Delete on a vehicle refers to the process of removing or covering the chrome accents and trim pieces on the exterior of your vehicle. Chrome Delete is typically done to give the vehicle a sleeker, more customized appearance. It involves applying vinyl wrap to the chrome surfaces to change their color or hide them completely. This modification can give your vehicle a more streamlined and modern aesthetic. The most common areas that undergo a Chrome Delete include the grille, window trim, door handles, side mirrors, and any other chrome accents present on the vehicle. The process involves careful application of the vinyl to ensure a seamless and professional finish.

  • What is a B Pillar Wrap?

The B pillars, which are the vertical roof supports between the front and rear windows, are prone to scratches, scuffs, and chipping due to contact with doors, keys, and other objects. By wrapping these pillars with protective vinyl film, you can safeguard them from such damage and maintain the original finish of your vehicle. B pillar wraps can enhance the overall appearance of your vehicle. The vinyl material provides a sleek and customized look, allowing you to choose from a variety of colors and finishes that complement your vehicle's style. It can also help cover any existing scratches, fading, or imperfections on the B pillars, giving them a refreshed and clean appearance.

  • What are the benefits of Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

Paint Protection Film (PPF), also known as clear bra or clear film, acts as a barrier between the vehicle's paintwork and the outside elements. It helps shield the paint from scratches, chips, and minor abrasions caused by road debris, gravel, rocks, and other hazards. PPF provides excellent UV protection, preventing the vehicle's paint from fading or oxidizing over time. It helps maintain the color and finish of the vehicle, ensuring it looks newer for longer. PPF is easy to maintain and clean. It can be washed and waxed just like the rest of the vehicle's paint, making it convenient to keep the film looking pristine. With PPF installed, the vehicle's paint remains protected, preserving its original beauty. This can have a positive impact on the resale value of the vehicle, as potential buyers are more likely to be attracted to a well-maintained exterior.

  • What is the difference between Ceramic Tint and Nano Carbon Tint?

Ceramic Tint and Nano Carbon Tint are two popular options for tinting vehicle windows. Here are the key differences between the two:

Composition: Ceramic Tint consists of ceramic particles that are non-conductive and non-metallic, which helps in blocking infrared heat and UV rays. Nano Carbon Tint incorporates carbon particles that offer similar heat-rejecting properties.

Heat Rejection: Both Ceramic and Nano Carbon tints are known for their superior heat-rejecting capabilities. However, Ceramic Tint provides slightly better heat reduction due to its ability to block a higher percentage of infrared rays.

Clarity and Appearance: Ceramic Tint offers exceptional clarity and maintains a neutral color tone. It provides excellent visibility both during the day and at night. Nano Carbon Tint also offers good clarity but may have a slightly darker appearance due to its carbon particles.

Cost: Ceramic Tint is more expensive than Nano Carbon Tint due to its advanced composition and superior heat rejection properties.
